HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

Hi Friends, I wanted to post warm wishes to all of my friends for a safe and sparkling July 4th! To my dear friends in Madison, WI; we are really going to miss Rhythm and Booms this year! Stay safe and don't set the neighbor's bushes on fire. The picture of this corn was taken last year on July 4th. (My husband is six feet tall with a three foot arm span so that gives you an idea on how tall the corn was last year!) This year.....not so lucky.... With gratitude, Laurie B.

Wow!! That's some corn!!! What happened to "knee high by the fourth of July"?? Must just be a Pennsylvania thing!

Hope you have a lovely & safe Fourth my friend! ~ Sharon

We were raised in NORTHERN Illinois and yes, it is true, "knee high but the fourth of July" but in CENTRAL Illinois....they get a jump on things! ((smile)) We have some serious corn production goin' on down here! Not this year though...ugh!

Happy uh... 9th of July? Ok, so I read this late. Sorry.
Hope you had a great 4th!

Isn't there also some phrase about "the corn is as high as an elephant's eye?"

Oh. Wait, wrong state. My bad.

That's part of the lyrics to Rogers and Hammerstein's "Oklahoma!"
I guess the elephants are not as far northeast as Central IL. Ha!

My computer has been down the past few days and I've been using my son's so I don't have your email address to send you a message. I wanted to let you know that I woke up yesterday morning thinking about you. Then to my amazement UPS showed up with the most beautiful stained glass butterfly, card & angel all made by you from my dear friend Catherine!!

I am now the proud owner of twin butterflies and I absolutely LOVE them!! You'll have to make more though, when you have the time, as we want to give one to my husband's mom for her birthday in September. ;-)

Thank you SO much for being such an incredibly talented artist and a lovely, lovely soul!!
