WARM AND MUGGY DAY FOR THIS STAINED GLASS ARTIST

Hello friends!

Wall Cloud photo in Savanna, Illinois taken by Laurie B
There is no breeze, large storm clouds on the horizon and the sky is beginning to rumble. She is talking! I am busy today in my studio working up the newest design I'm creating. The glass is ordered and it will arrive tomorrow. Thanks to the help of Creative Treasures I have managed to eek out a pattern that is ready to cut. My printer at home decided that now would be a good time to stop working. Last week it was my laptop. Things come in threes? What is next? I ask. I am looking forward to getting back to cutting and grinding in my studio.  The time off was nice but two weeks was a bit too long to be away. My hands did need the rest so I obliged them. I'm back and ready to get busy! Thanks goes out again to Paula from Roughing It In Style!http://www.roughingitinstyle.com/  Working with these new clients has been a pure joy!! It makes the process of creating custom stained glass everything I hoped it would be. With Gratitude, Laurie

TEMPORARY DIGS

Good Morning Friends,
Here's hoping you have sunshine where ever you are today. It's gloomy here in Northern Illinois! I wanted to share a couple of photos of where I've been keeping myself recently. I'm making great progress on "Adam And Eve" and hope to have this piece foiled and ready for soldering by the middle of the week. My temporary digs are working out just fine and I am thankful. Lift up YOUR art! Laurie B.

ADAM AND EVE

Good Morning my friends, Here is the next installment I'm doing for my client out in New Jersey. In order to keep the aspect ratio in check a few more pieces had to be add to the design but I think it works. The client asked if she could name the double panels and "of course" was my answer. So here is the first drawing (and six copies lol) of Adam and Eve. I am doing double panels of this design and she requested that they not be in mirror image. Once again these will be created in black, white and gray glass..I am going to also be using arcitectural glass which should add some nice depth. Here's to it! Once again, I'll be unhooking from cyberspace and hooking in to my art. Such a fun balance. May the glass cutting and grinding and foiling and soldering, commence! Follow your bliss people...With gratitude, Laurie B.

Anniversary Rose that will last!

This VERY special husband ordered his wife an Anniversary Rose Panel that will last forever! He was a joy to work with and is a wonderful woodworker too! He plans to frame this panel I created so we both had a hand in creating this special anniversary gift for his deserving wife. His sweet daughter also had a hand in the surprise. I met her in Decatur, Illinois and handed the gift off to her. From there she took it to her dad who patiently waited until their Anniversary date arrived. Congratulations to Deb and Bill!!! May you have many more decades of love to celebrate. Thank you for allowing me to contribute by creating this custom panel for you. With gratitude, Laurie B.  and as always:
THANK YOU FOR BUYING HANDMADE!
